Default Ready or not.. Here I come...

Shot at Ranthambhore National Park, India. This cub was inquisitive and as he came near, he passed right through the golden evening light.

    Shot with 20D+100-400

Beautiful movement and excellent eye contact. The lighting really makes this one for me. IMO I would like to see a tad more canvas on the top and had it been possible a lower angle but would love to have this in my files. Beautiful capture Kartikeya and thanks for sharing.

Excellent capture Kartik Love the intensity in the face and posture Wish you could have pointed the camera more to the right to have less room on the left a tad more on the right One fine image !!!! Agree with Judy on the lower angle but I'm sure it is just not possible !!!

Thanks for the comments guys. I have not thought about having canvas on top, but I will try once I get a machine where I can use PS. Currently my PP is dependent on Lightroom. I have read some excellent material from the link the learning section regarding working on the canvas, and I will try to implement the same. Thanks Judy for pointing it out to me.

Alfred and Judy, you are absolutely right about a lower angle, but unfortunately it was not possible due to our position. Alfred your point about room to the right is duely noted and I will try and see if I can work a crop which can address that point.

Harshad, I think the softness is due to my meager PP skills. On the original file at 100%, the image looks quite sharp. I will try and work on that front.

Thank you David and Fabs fir your kind and encouraging words. :-)

    Cheers,
    Kartik

Like how most of the tiger is in shadow, but the head is in sunlight. Like the intense stare as well.
