    Smart guy, he preferred the shade :)

    Very nice head portrait, with plenty of detail in the fur and vegetation on both side help frame him.

    Simply Stunning. Loved the close capture and currious as well as intimidating look on its face.
    Whether with grass or without grass I liked both of them, the first being giving more natural and showing habitat while the second is smooth.

    Fine image Ken Got to love that expression and eye contact !!!

    Can go with either Peter's re post looks great Might prefer the grasses since it feels the area and its natural !! The only thing I wish it didn't have is the shadow from the leaf but its a very minor point !!! Big Congrats !!!!

    Thanks to everybody for their comments , I prefer it with the right hand grass myself. I think the largest thanks should go to Hwange for being one of the few places where you can see good specimens of Male Lions, none of that silly "Mohican" nonsense just raw power and black manes!

    Great close up, super light and details, I like what peter had done but perfer the grass as persented in the OP. Big Congrats...
