Road Through Sunset Crater National Monument - Az

This place near Flagstaff is really cool. A volcano and lava flows. Looks better from the air I would imagine. The road runs through the park from US 89 near Flagstaff and the San Francisco Mountains on the NW then runs through the park East towards the Painted Desert. The clouds were great and I tried an IR shot.

Hi Michael, Well, You tried...and were very successful.The IR really popped the foliage and the sky is very dramatic. I like the strong leading line taking you all the way through the image. Handled beautifully!!!

Beautiful image, Michael. I'd also love to see one with the same ratio of clouds to road but flipped so the road takes up less image and the clouds go on forever.
