Wonderful low angle. Great light. I, too, like the lifted foot. The orange of the feet and the bill go very well with the blue water.

Love everything about this one, Gal - you were down in the mud! Nice lighting, COMP, picking up some of the muddy environment is especially nice.

Excellent shot Gal. Super low view and comp and the raised foot work well to add interest.

    Hi Gal,
What I love about this shot is the low angle, the raised foot, and the HA. I would suggest to crop a bit of the bottom, get rid of the OOF mud items in the FG (if this doesn't coincide with your personal ethics of course), and to add some redd to the feet as the feet are almost yellow and knowing this bird quite well they should be very very orange almost red.

    Cheers,

    Krijn

I like this one a lot Gal, can't really add much to whats been said. I agree with Krijn about cropping and cleaning up the foreground. Can't comment on the colors though. Beautiful image

Gal, I love this one for the low angle, great lighting and raised foot. The oof mud in foreground does pull my eye off the subject so I would agree with cropping it out.

    Good Shooting!

from what I know, a juvenile was a more yellow-orange legs + the stripes on the chest and neck are cleaner, neater and obvious.
I think it's a juvenile or maybe first winter,
Adult legs are more of a dark orange

Thanks for clearing that up Gal. I saw that it was a juvenile due to the lack of stripes but I didn't know that the juvi's had orange/yellow leggs. My bad :(

Super comp and pose, with the raised foot. I like the low angle and DOF, and lovely colours throughout the image. Well captured Gal.

Nice angle and the lifted foot adds. The oof fg is a bit too much for me.
