Default Best day at work EVER

Pictures to follow in a few days - as I write this I am soaking wet just been well and truly rained on..

Got to work this morning and much to my suprise there is a Barn Owl asleep in the tree just outside the back door of my work - needless to say I had to go home and getmy Camera - he spent most of the day sleeping - took a bucket load of shots - I was about 8-10 feet away from him pretty much on the same level.

So waited back at work until it got dark - knew he would wake from his slumber, You wont beleive how lucky this was - there is a light outside the bak door at work as well so it added some lumination and enabled me to set a manual focus on him and go to town...........

All went well until he decided he better check me out - so flew down from his perch and landed on the tin shed roof (That I was shooting from) about 2 feet in front of me ..... Now didn't for a minute think I would need a Macro lens when shooting a Wild Barn Owl.......

Yo live and learn - Hope to get some shots up in a day or so.

    ;)
