    This image was taken around the middle of June in between Roscommon and Mio. Luck played a part, as I found some Jack Pine habitat that was not posted.

    These were taken between 4pm and 6pm. Canon 40D, 500F4/IS w/1.4x; ISO400, Shutter speed at 1/500 @F8.


    Like most of us I had wanted to photograph this bird for a very long time. It was terrific action.

    Great find Richard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I've been looking for these guys in the Bahamas in some pine forrests I know of, but no luck.

    Nice pose, nice colors, nice detail and sharpness.
    BG is a tad bussy than what I would have prefered but it still works well.

    Note this is a super rare bird and only a few photos in existence.
