    Default Landing for 3000th

My 3000th post. I thought I would share a yellowbill duck landing with a full reflection. The water was as calm as can be. The landing angle gives the impression that this needs a rotation, but the tips of the beaks are in line. Taken in Pretoria two weeks ago.

Thanks to everyone who has helped me for another 1000 posts. This is a great site for learning, and I for one, have learnt so much from you guys and girls. Now lets move on to the next milestone.

Congrats on the 3000th post Stuart. Lovely shot, nice calm water, good colours, cool landing pose and HT. Does it need a bit of CC rotation?? Anyway lovely shot

    Stuart:

congrats on the 3000th. It seems like only last week it was 2000!

A nice image to go with the milestone. Sharp, nicely exposed, perfect wing position, good water action.

    Cheers

Congrats brother on the fabulous milestone! Now to 4k! :D

Love the smooth water and the duck is razor sharp. Have a play with the CCW rotation and see how much better or worse it is.
    Thanks for sharing.

    Congratulations on the 3000 posts.
    Great landing pose and reflection.
As you said, the landing angle gives the misleading impression that some rotation is needed but it means that the duck is still angled slightly towards us which helps make it such a great image.

Congrats on number 3000. It is very easy to lose focus and the subject when the impact with the water dramatically slows the bird down

The reflection is what really makes this image. Good sharpness, lighting and exposure.

Keep the numbers rolling Stu, well done.
It does look as though the bird is going to fall over, will this work with a portrait crop?
    Good reflection colour and detail.

Great light and sharp details, and like the calm water's surface. Personally, I would take off a little space on the right. Congrats.
