I really enjoy the challenge of these guys, and on each outing, I hope for a better capture against a perfect BG. This was taken this morning in Pretoria.

Your pigeons looks really wild and interesting creatures under those light conditions and good photographic job Stu :-)

More room at the bottom would be a very nice option for a different composition

Nicely freezed. These can be quite challenging to track. I too would prefer more room below. Everything else works perfectly fine for me.

Nice BIF capture, Stuart, love the HA, eye contact and BG. Until seeing your posts, I had never considered IF pigeons as a nice opportunity to improve BIF technique, and can imagine these are more difficult to do than one might think. I really like this one.

Thanks for the kind words guys. As he was flying slightly upwards, I thought by leaving less at the bottom, and more at the top. Here is my repost with some added space at the bottom.

I'm really liking this one Stuart. Only thing I wish for is a higher wing position, but still nice considering the difficulty factor. The green iridescence looks pretty neat :-)

Good image, Stuart. I like the additional space at the bottom. You have shown off the beauty of these birds really well, their colors stand out nicely with the brown background.

Sharpness and BG look good. I also wish for a better wing position.

Love this image Stuart, I prefer the original and while the wing position isn't perfect you have fine detail and nice light.

Great sharpness mate. I wish the head was more separated from that far wing. I mean, there is some color contrast, which is great and makes definition of lines doable, but separation (I feel) would make it stronger. Love the colors and nice BG. THanks for sharing. :)

To be honest I am not crazy about the wing position, I do loved everything else, such as light, detail, colors, BG and sharoness and DOF.
    Congratulaitons!
