The guy facing the camera has an outstanding look and I am wondering how good a close portrait of that face would be. Not sure about the out of focus bir in the foreground, it helps to tell the story but it is very distracting.

Love that look. ONly wish you were a little higher for separation between the beak and mate's head. Congrats!

The shape of the head looks quite unusual. I also like the light and BG but I'm not so sure about the OOF bird and its clipped legs.

Amazing eye contact, together with the open beak. A close up of the head as per Juan's suggestion would be great.

The exrpession of that guy couldn't be better, and light, low angle, ambient and BG are lovely too, but the OOF bird is really less than ideal to me.
    Still, nice natural moment.
    Congratulaitons!

Just wishes the OOF bird was a little lower, very natural setting and killer pose of the bird, congrats...

It took a while for me figure out what is happening. Fantastic expression.
