Here is another of my early photos taken with the same veiled effect as the last one I posted. The bee was an added bonus, it flew in just as I was taking the photo :). I applied a dry brush filter and added some radial blur. Any C&C are welcome!

sweet color combo Chris. Would love to see the bee sharp and natural looking
at the center of the radial......but that's just "my" preference.

    very nice comp as presented

I tried photographing bees at 1/1600 s and still couldn't freeze them. Next time some flash. I really like this Christopher, the cropping, the radial blur, and the light to dark colours from bottom to top. Well done IMHO.

    Thanks, Dave and Jackie.

Dave, honestly I wasn't sure if the filter added to the image or not. The main reason I added it was because the image wasn't as sharp as I would like and had quite a bit of noise. Here it is without the filter for comparison. Let me know what you think.

Very subjective on this one Christopher. The bee is sharp in neither image but my preference is the first image.

I like what you had done here Chris. I would like to have seen the bee from the head on angle. Lovely colors and great blur treatment. Thanks for sharing.

I think I like the original, Christopher. I really like the radial blur and the subtle colors.
