This was taken many summers ago in Yosemite valley! Used DAP, combined with the original and opened up the camus lily using a layer mask. Hope you like it. All C&C will be appreciated.

Hi Indranil, I took the liberty of reworking the image somewhat. I cropped a bit off the left and top since there wasn't much information that added to the strength of the image. I cloned out the white dots in the darker areas and made some of the bright trees darker in the backround. I like the filter you used and wanted to put more attention on the lavendar flowers.

I like the look of the image very much....quite impressionistic.
I would like to offer another alternative crop, as I feel "all" the interest
is in the field of flora....and I could have taken even a wee bit more off top.
Opened up levels, increased sat of purple and yellow selectively.

just another option, keep the nice work coming :)

Dave and Dave, thank you so much! This keeps getting better! I love both the crops... when I created this, my interest was the field of flora, light and shade with focus on the lily; the dark trees provided the anchor just like the black frame provides it for the second crop. With the first crop (Dave Mills), it significantly improves on what i was thinking whereas second crop (Dave Philips) takes it to a different dimension alltogther. I think the black border makes the difference. Without which it is not as interesting. I think, if I want to frame it, i will go with the second crop.

    Another crop.

Similar to Dave's but I cropped a little off the left, that did not have much information relative to the image as well as from the right to position the main subject.

Many images in your shot. Congradulations on that!

    Enjoy!

interesting, I feel my crop does have interesting info on the left and the main flower is dead on the rule of thirds.
Just explaining the "why/where" of my crop alternative

Excellent image and treatment, Indranil. I like all the various crops though I have to say that I like Dave's best. Well done!

I like the reposts but the original really does it for me. It's a lovely ROT's for the field/forest and the main flower. It's a strong comp in my opinion and the dark trees really add another dimension for me. Still, the reposts are also very nice and certainly viable alternatives!
