Ran into a whole flock of these the other day. They seemed to be almost tame. This is a full fram shot and I liked ther way it came out, considering that it was almost noon in the bright sun. Nikon D3, 200-400mm lens with 1.4X, effevtive length 650mm. 1/800 @ f/10, multi-pattern metering, ISO-200.

Interesting pose - lots of character. Good detail in most of the whites but look a bit hot on the top and right - light is quite harsh. I would suggest opening up the aperture more to isolate the subject and blur out the BG more. Lower shooting angle would also help improve BG and isolation of subject. For this to be full frame you must have been using the 4x5 crop mode of the D3?

The light angle and setting are not ideal but I like the funny striding pose. A lower angle and the sun behind you would have improved the image.

I should have said a very little crop to get rid of a stray leg to the left side of the image.
