This is an annual I planted for the first time this year. I failed to write down its name.

Nikon D300, Sigma 105mm macro, f 5, 1/100, ISO 200, wb auto, pattern metering, manual exposure, manual exposure using live view. RAW conversion Elements 7, editing ps7; very little editing.

Very nice composition. Love the water droplets that become more focused the closer you get to the flower's center. Colors are great also.

    Anita:

This is lovely! The DOF makes it feel almost magical.
The only suggestion I would make is to consider toning down the lower left hand corner bright spot, and the very bright area of green ULC. Not much on the latter, perhaps try to match brightness/hue of RUC?

    Thanks for sharing.

Great shot. Looks almost like a painting. I like the DOF and the composition. The different colors work very well with each other.

It is a neat comp but I do wish I could see a tad more of the center area. I agree with toning down the one bright spot in the LLC also. I think what you have here is an African Daisy - I bought some this year and this looks just like it!

A very nice abstract, Anita with just enough sharpness in the flower's center to anchor the comp. I would agree about the LLC. Well done.

Anita, I agree with the above comments, I'd want to see more of the center. But this is a gorgeous composition otherwise, very well shot.
