My last post was somewhat disengenuous of a female Mulga Parrot - so here is my attempt to represent her better. Photographed near Cunnamulla, south-west Queensland.

Canon 40D, EF500 f.4 + 1.4 tc, tripod set low, ISO 400, 1/400, f/5.6, full frame, ano oof stem below her foot disguised.

Great low angle Simon, and the light has brought out the colours nicely. This is sharp too. I find the OOF small bush in the left FG a bit distracting, and maybe taking a bit off both the bottom and top will work.

The pose from the previous post was nicer, but this one works nicely too, great BG, better light than the previous post (probably the sun was behind a cloud in this image) I agree with Stuart on what he said.
    Congratulations!

I like how the colors of the bird blend so well with the BG. Very nice low angle and i'd prefer a little off of the OOF bottom. Nice to the the female.

Nice low angle, and light. Pano crop might work well here. The OOF bush bugs me too.

I like the soft light, sharpness and angle. Another vote for cropping a bit off the top and bottom. I would give it a bit more room on the right for the 'virtual tail' and lighten the eye a bit.
