    Default Gnu

This image was taken at Masai Mara a few years back.
As we were driving along I saw this natural composition with the way they all lined up.
Only wished the Gnu up front would look up.

Firstly I woould like to thank you for calling these animals Gnus rather than Widebeeste. I prefer to use this naming because it is the only word of bushman origin (that I know of) in the English language.

The picture is good but you have allready ponted out the main problem, no look up from the nearest Gnu.

Taking good pictures of Gnu is very difficult as the face is mostly featureless and a catch light next to impossible.

Like the arrangement Danny. Remarkable how all the others were lying down too. Well seen. Own critique covered it well.

I agree with your self assessment. A raised head near Gnu would have killer. The image does give a good sense place/environment. The image feels a little tight at the bottom in my opinion. If this were mine I might try a different crop that removes the far Gnu at the top right as it make the image a bit off balanced (could also remove in photoshop if your personal ethics allow). Thanks for sharing.

Nice composition. I like the line they present coming down from the URC and leading the eye out of the LLC.
