At least for me this is an new bug It is some sort of moth and still trying to find it in the bug book difficult to capture since it was in constant motion working the flower. Several times bees would land right on top of it and it would fend them off .. lots of competition for food !!! ... btw this one I did hand holding since I could not keep with on the tripod.

    Comments welcome and much appreciated

Hey Alfred, very good details on the what ever it is. BG is excellent. If this was mine I would clone out the small white petal on the backside of the flower head. Looks like your having fun with the macro.

Nice and sharp. My eye goes right to the bug's eye. Everything works for me. I'm impressed with your ability to hand-hold and get such excellent focus!

I agree with Mike on cloning out the petal at the rear of the flower; everything else is very nice. Good details on the moth (I tried but I can't I.D. him!)

Al way cool!! You have gotten to be quite the bug man :D. I go along with the suggestions and do agree your eye goes right to the bugs eye. Great BG!

    Alfred,

Sorry I've been away for awhile. Started aggressive rehab. of my knee and teaching myself iMovie 09 with my 5D Mk 11. Love this image. You have most excellent color and detail.

    This is very nice...

Great shot with a very good quality for ISO 1.600. I like the sharpness and details and the wonderfully calm BG.

Oh, another sweet insect image! I especially like the false pupil in the left eye cluster.

It's a moth in the family Noctuidae, beyond that, I cannot help. If you really want to have it identified, you might contact the McGuire Center at U Florida (www.flmnh.ufl.edu).
