I am not at all familiar with this bird. If I haven't rendered the colors correctly let me have it.

I had lost my pretty light when I found him / her. Taken in the Tampa Bay, Fl. area.

Hi Mike, I think the bill is a bit more pink, rather than orange and they are beautiful birds
I may try a reverse curve to reduce ethe contrast. Composition and wave look good to me :)

I like the composition. I find the little wave appealing that adds just enough environment to give a sense of place without being distracting. Nice low angle of capture. I also like the pose. I will have to relay on Fab's comments on the color as I am not familiar enough with bird to comment. Thanks for sharing.

IMO it has too much contrast, but I like the exposure (although I would tone down the bright areas), colors, BG and pose are nice too. Did you ad the ctachlight?

I like at is, I agree with reducing the contrast.
I will also add just a hair of space on the back of the bird.

Other than above I think the pose on the bird is very good, and that rolling wave adds to it.
