Not much of the snake left. I think your comp works well, and great eye contact in this. The light looks a bit harsh, but you have done well considering the conditions.

Both hawk and snake look like they went through a lot, the snake obviously having lost the battle. Great detail and HA. The crop is too square to my eye. I'd like to see more room at the right and top. Excellent work!

Nice looking Hawk. Great eye contact and poor snake is finished look like. Conditions are never perfect but this is well done in any sense.

Nice comp and position of the bird. Although the light appears to be harsh, the details and colors seem to be very good.

    Rick,

I think it's pretty cool to get an image of a bird of prey with it's prey. The snake really makes the image worthwhile. I also like the composition, but wish it was presented in a larger size. The lighting was difficult, but you did well from behind the camera. I messed with it a bit to tone down the effects of the harsh light.

Great natural moment, lovely pose and textures, light wasn't ideal and the almost square crop to me makes it look a bit too tight. Still, nice overall image.
    Congratulations.
