Great species, pose, light, detail, BG and colors, I would try to do something to comouflage the broken tip of the perch though.
    Congratulations!

Thanks for the comment Ramon. As I posted it were my thoughts as well and I quickly did a repost as you were commenting. Pity the branch is broken of at the top.

Super inquisitive pose Chris, and I like the show of the yellow from under the tail. Was this a big crop, as you seemed to have lost some IQ around the head. I also see a magenta cast in this too.

Nice one Chris. You should have left the original image as it was so everyone can see the differences in the process as they go reading down each pane? Then repost further down with improvements. Just a tip mate. :)

Lovely pose and well rendered perch end. You could probably sharpen the head more.

Head looks a bit soft, but the birds out of frame interest adds well to this... We have a very similar bird but with a red vent called the red vented bulbul.

Love the details in the body and pose Chris. Can see the re-work which is fine: (only cos of the posed comments, :)). Wonder if the head could benefit from selective sharpening.

Thanks for all the comments. To put the record straight and to apologies. I did this post early this morning, when I uploaded it I realised that the branch do not look great with the broken tip. I decided to change it quickly and it took about 5 minutes to reload the image. Ramon posted a comment in that period and by that time I have already reloaded the edit version. Looking at the image now on the web the head is not that sharp and the focal point were more on the body.

    Super looking bird.

Love the alert pose and the killer BG. The perch is not working for me but that would be it. I would consider cropping a little from top. Regards.
