    this is from an original image by a friend of mine that works on Sanibel
    DAP, Benson, portrait palette, blend .psd at 75% and a few saturation/ texture tweaks.

    Nice effect, like it. One suggestion is that it could use some cropping of the left margin. A little too centered for my view. But the artist rules. ;)

    I agree with a slight crop off the left side. It will put the bird more on an angle and strengthen the composition IMO.

    Beautiful colors and textures. I'm not sure I love the area on the right side of his head but the rest is really beautiful.

    is this part of the summertime theme? these birds always remind me of summer with the beautiful pink colors. love the treatment. your friend loaned you a nice base image!!

    Simply beautiful, Dave. You're a DAP master. I don't think I'd crop anything. As is, the color tones surrounding it make for a very pleasing image.
