Super colours and detail here. I would like some room to the right, feel the bird is too centered.
I would remove the leaves sticking out on the left. Super light and a great BG!

Very nice overall with the HA and light. I am OK with the tight presentation as I generally prefer them that way even if it does put the bird on center. If you are not against such things.Im with Mark....I would remove the upper vegetation on the left....but that is personal choice. Nice job.
Funny.....I seem to be one of the few getting connection from Alaska

Nice light, colors, pose, detail. I like the way it is with the vegetation on the left....frames the picture for me and like that I don't mind the centered composition. Congrats.

    Darren:

Nice image. Another option for you would be to burn in the leaves on the vegetation, upper left. It would reduce there impact without cloning them out, if prefer not to. If you do feel comfortable cloning, I would also remove the debris from the lower mandible.

I think your composition is OK to me, re: centering, because there is so much more space in front of the bird than behind the tail.

    Thanks for sharing.

Very nice although because of the tail pisition, to me it feels a tad tight, also I think that fill flash would've hepled here, but I like it very much.
    Congratulations!

A fine image indeed - I like the pose, eye contact, leafy setting and smooth background.

A great shot. I like the light and the head turn. The framing by the leaves is great here.

Good comments from above. I am not a dan of the obscured tail. Is that a Ribes(currant) that is is perched on?

    Lovely looking sparrow.
Love the environment captured by your lens and the bird's pose. I guess that seeing this image a little larger could cause a more powerful impact.
