I was planing to photography flowers and at first only wanted to take the 2.8/100 with me. Good that I changed my mind and took the 3.5/180 with me, too. It would have been a lot more difficult to approach them with a 100mm lens. This would also have ment to leave the trail which I don't do in that place as it would damage a lot of endangered flowers.
I love the 3.5/180L. This is one of Canon's sharpest lenses.
Perfect comp and DOF. I do think it could stand a tweak of more contrast - it feels just a tad flat to me. Also, and this is so minor, I'd take the one partial leaf out at the very bottom just to the right of the stem.
Nice angle and sharpness on the damselfly, Markus! Nice clean BG too. Agree it could use a touch more contrast. Congrats on getting a good image of one of these buggers, I've frequently photographed these and I always have a ton of trouble getting a good image :)
