Great light and colors and wonderful composition. The BG is great here. I, too, with for a little more eye contact but it is great as it is.

A wonderful sighting and great capture, a little more head turn would have made it pefect.

Proof if proof was needed that controlled burns not only help the animals, but also the photographer.

    Dave,
Its a great sighting. Watching a cheetah in the morning would have been magical. This image looks like being clicked in a spot light in the night. The difference being the spot light here is replaced by morning light. It seems there are streaks of light and the blacks of the burnt vegetation accentuates the darkness of the background. However, the background is a bit dark in my opinion.

I would have loved a bit more eyecontact. Moving a few paces to the right, if possible without disturbing the animal would have been great. Also, I would like to see the image clicked two frames before it ie. the head being at a place where the front right shoulder is in this image. Overall I like this image. Look forward to more from you.

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi

Gorgeous light in this Dave. Bit tight for me and be nice to have a better head angle but that spotlight effect is just great. Hope to see more from this series?

Stands out very well against the bg, just a little tight but I like that anyway :) Must be an awesome sight first hand.

Agree about a little more eye contact. Still wonderful light and I love cats, especially BIG CATS!

    Thanks for sharing. :)

Excellent capture in soft glowing light with the uniquely dark BG. Eye is lit very nicely. Nice catch.
