I had a computer meltdown last year - I thought I had lost everything for the first six months of 2008 because I USED to never do regular backups. A friend at work figured out it wasn't my hard drive that crashed but my motherboard and he rescued all my old images for me.
Granted...most of them weren't really worth keeping...but this one was. I converted it to B&W using an adjustment layer and then tweaked certain areas with masks and levels adjustments to get the range of grays I wanted.
Hi Jules, I like the image and for my taste felt it needed a crop from left. I also like how the shadows are creating an inky flow and small circular patterns.
I think the patterns themselves are the most interesting aspect of this image. I'd be inclined to crop in tight to immerse the viewer into those amazing patterns and swirls.

Dave, I like your repost but still prefer the wider view - I think it's because there are additional shades of gray/white that show up in that left upper corner that add to the actual print. Michael, I do have several images of the tighter versions as well - this was just the first image of the series I worked up. When you zoom in close it totally reminds you of the psychedelic patterns of the 60's and 70's.
