Superb pose, light, expposure, colors, copm and detail, I love the species. I did wish that the other bird wasn't ther.

lighting, exposure and composition are great, just get rid of the bird in the left corner and it will be an even better shot.

The light on this is exquisite, as are the details. Wish the egret wasn't there either.

Nice image, I agree about the egret needing to fly away.:D I feel that the head is a little too sharpened also. Overall a great image.

beautifully executed, loved the pose and details. you could remove the halo on the front part of the birds neck and the beak. also may be clone out the egret. It would look great.

I have done a re-crop and removed the Egret. Maybe I should remove the branches as well?

branches give it someplace to go - as it's looking and flying there anyway I would leave it as anchor. removing egret was the right thing to do. great shot Chris!

Well timed for the landing Chris, and the leaves anchor the comp. Well captured.

I agree repost looks better and I would leave the leaves.
looks like there is a bit of noise in the dark feathers that could be sorted Chris?

Wonderful action shot. Great wing pose. Perfect exposure.
I prefer the repost without the egret.

I like what you did with the repost Chris. It looks like you darkened the blacks a bit, and I was going to suggest that when I looked at the original. The tree definitely anchors the image and I wouldn't remove it.
