    Gray day, but one of my young orioles finally gave me a
    pretty good pose.
    50D, 400DO, 1/250, F7.1 iso 500, -.33 on camera, BBeamer
    -1 2/3 stop. Removed a branch and a few distracting things.

    Sharpness and details look good to me. Good pose as you've pointed out. I personally would like to see more separation between the bird - from the belly up - and the branch though. Not sure if I would leave so much space on the right, too, if this photo were mine. Congrats on getting the shot you wanted !

    Don,

    Very nice capture of a cooperative and colorful subject. Good idea to remove a few distracting elements but the re-worked areas are not "seamless" to the trained eye.

    I like the pose, angle, eye contact and perch and agree regarding cropping a bit off the right to get the bird out of the center.

    Nice light, great perch, nice BG and pose, the bird is too centered IMO and I wonder what a vertical comp would've looked like.

    Changed the crop, smoothed the PS work. removed one more leaf

    I prefer the rework with the smoother background.
