This was created last Monday at the Trail, where we met George DeCamp and his wife Louise. It's an Anhinga in disguise :)
The shallow DOF was my choice, and I thought it look kinda cool when I saw in the computer, these birds are very curious and it's evident in his expression. It is a male (Black neck) in breeding plumage (funky hair) and he must be a parent already because the color is fading from his lores. Once the nest gets going, no need to impress anyone... :) (familiar??????)

    D3, 200-400/4 plus 1.7X
    Wide open f/6.7
    s/s 1/800, ISO 400
Cropped from horizontal (he moved fro profile to this too fast to make an original vertical)
