A common bird here , but always fun to photograph. Love to watch them call and "flair out".

I lioke BG, pose, colors and detail, nice exppsure too. It does feel to tight to me and I would get rid of the red frame as it is way too distracting to me and also the signature could go smaller and idealy black/white so it doesn't call the viewer's attention s much.
    Congratulations.

Hey Joe, do not forget that a common bird to you is very uncommon for many of us :-D
I love this species, is just beautifull and I would love to have the oportunity of photograph tenm one day. Thesinging pose of this guy is very nice and the eye contact fntastic. The light is a bit harsh but you did a good job with the exposure. i would love to see more room at the left because the bird is a bit tight in the frame. The image looks flat in my monitor so I think that some aditional contrast would be great.

Calling pose, eye contact and BG look good. The blacks look a bit washed out on my monitor and I would give it more room top and left.

    Hey Joe,
Nice feather detail and good timing on the singing pose. What did you have in the background?

The BG is green beach grass that is far from the subject.

Agree on darkening the blacks, Adding black to the blacks in Selective color would be one way to do this. Eyedropper in Curves to find the point and nudging down would also work.
And yes, more room on top and left.
    Singing pose a plus!

Good job to capture him on your side of the stick.
You could also darken him by moving your black point in with a levels adjustment.
