    Default Spotted Flycatcher /1st post/

    Hello!
This is my first post, though I have been reading this forum almost every day, since 01-02-2008 (invited by Szimi).
The image was taken on the ambulance station of Siklós (I'm working there), where the birds nested in a flowerpot on the wall. :)
    Canon 450D, Sigma 50-500 @ 500, 1/60, f6.3, ISO 400, tripod, full frame, DPP - CS2

Thanks for taking a look. C&C welcome.

    Miklós

My warmest welcome to the forum. Good to see more Hungarian guys here. :D
Nice first image. Have you used selective sensor for AF. DOF looks a bit shallow while the right side of the branch is in focus. I like the green around.

    Keep them coming. :)

Welcome on BPN, Miklos. It is a great place to be for sure.

Nice bird, pose and eye contact. The catch is a bonus. I also like the green BG. Focus looks shallow to me too. Looking forward to see more posts from you.

Welcome to BPN, Miklós! Very nice first post. I like the eye contact, food item and composition and only wish for a lower angle. Keep them coming!

    Welcome,
I like the BG, perch and prey item
There's a feeling of oversharpening on the perch and face (mostly eye).

I'd also like to welcome you and very nice first post. BG is great as is the perch and prey. I think your focus point was just a little forward of the bird and that's why you might of over sharpened it. You can see that the right side of the perch was the focus point. Overall very nice and enjoy you time here at BPN, this is truly a great place.

Miklós wellcome on board. I leke the BG a lot and the soft light works very finely. Deep of field is a bit narrow and I think that some selective lightening of the eye would even improve thi sexcelent image. Critical focus seems to be on the right of the perch and bill/prey item.
    Keep them coming

Isten hozott Téged Miklós, látom sokszor itt leskelôdsz és vártam mikor teszel fel valamit.

Az Szimi said, great to see more of our fellow countrymen on BPN. Techs have been covered by the guys, so I just wish to add that I look forward to seeing more of your images from my homeland. It makes me really homesick. :(

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome, your critics and suggestion!
This is the v. 1.1. What do you think, is it better?
