I hope you're not too bored with these Giant's Castle images. I haven't been in the field for a while, so they're the only newish files I have to share. 50D, ISO 640, f6.3, 1/1600, 400 f2.8.

Can never get tired of the GC images! Lovely colours here Stephen. Not sure if the composition works or not, will look again later.

Nice light, the bg looks a little noisy.

Great to see these raptors Stephen. Other than Mike's noisy comment on the BG, I see a slight magenta cast. Though that is perhaps how the colors really are, as I cannot see the cast on the plumage. nevertheless a fine capture, I would leave a little more space ahead and sharpen the eye more. :) Thanks for sharing mate.

Great pose here well done. This one needs a bit of TLC
Some bg noise and a halo here and image looks a bit dark. Still great well done

Beautiful bird. I have to agree on the noise and the magenta cast. This one's certainly worth reworking to make it better.

Wonderful flight shot. Great colors and light in the bird. The colors of the BG are fantastic.

By the way: Do you know how large the Bearded Vulture population in southern Africa is?

The comp works for me. Fine detail in the bird. I'm not so sure about the magenta cast... the colors in the bird look OK to my eye. Could it be strong magenta in the sky that's fooling the eye into thinking it's magenta overall?

I like the pose, eye contact and BG. Another vote for NR on the BG and maybe some more sharpening of head and body of the bird.

Love the pose and the beautiful BG (agree with NR suggestion)
A halo is noticeable around the bird,
    I would prefer a horizontal 3:2 comp.

Stephen - most areas are covered. I like the pose, details and BG (I know these mountains can have that magenta hue). Some NR needed as said, and I would attempt to lighten the BV up a tad. still a great shot I would love to have in my arsenal :)

Great flight angle, and well exposed on the underwings. I dont feel you need to sharpen this anymore, but I would run some NR on the BG. Another great image from your GC trip. Well captured Stephen.
