    20D 100-400L IS @ISO400 F/8 1/800 HANDHELD

Caught in that brief nano second when the display flashes, the curve of the wings matches those of the fern.

    Bill,
this is wonderfully suggestive of an oriental graphic design...... I like it a lot!

Thank you. I have had comments like that about a lot of my images. It is quiet unintentional but I am glad you enjoyed the image. It does print up well.

Hey Bill, I love the pose and the Fern's design in the top. Only wish his wings were not merging...

Thanks Fabs, but I'm not sure what you mean by "merging"?

AHHH, between the wings and the fern. Of course, thank you Fabs. No one has talked about taking the green color balance out of the wings, what say you? Example below.

It seemed only natural to have green reflected from all around...

I prefer the slight bit of green and agree with what Stephen said, verynice feel to the image.

Thank you very much Nonda. I have enjoyed seeing your work on line here and respect your opinion. It is more art that doc so you are both probably right. Thank you both for your opinion - I was stuck.

    Hi,
I like your artistic rendering here. I think it might help to improve the image if the top portion of the ferns were cropped, I think it would focus the attention equally to the bird by cropping.
