Beyond spectacular. Killer pose, action, and BKGR. Was the bird called to the perch with a recording? (I've spent more than a few days at Roel's place and have never seen one of these down low.) My only wish here is that the bird's upper manidble did not merge with the spread wing.

We will finally get to meet at JBAY in August. I am looking forward to it.

    Alan:

Very nice, Artie hit the high points.

Was flash used here? If not, the light was amazing.

    Agree about the mandible.

In a perfect world, I might tone down the perch just a bit.

    Thanks for sharing this beauty.

Hey Randy, No flash used. It was quite dark out. Thanks.

Always love looking at your work Alan. THis is over the top of what I have seen. If I really wanted to be critical, I'd agree with Artie's upper mandible assessment. But really, it is a killer image. Thanks for sharing. :)

Awesome like the one over at NSN. A fantastic shot with amazing color, light and BG. The wing pose is spectacular.
