Deep in a rainforest gully, my partner in crime assesses a natural cave looking for evidence of owls roosting.

In shuch contrasty scenes, you should bracket and do some HDR. The cliff would pop-out.

Merci beacoup Monsieur René. I suck at HDR. No idea what to do. :(

Ákos, if looking for "evidence" that would be the wrong place to look! You will find it on the ground... :D

Of course, I knew that. I just caught him looking up at some of the holes in the roof of the cave where they do sit.

    Thanks Fabs.
I nearly died last time. My backpack only had one strap as the other broke, so I slung it around my neck. SO guess whose blood supply to the pea-sized brain of his was restricted? Mine. I kept climbing rocks, hills and I almost fell in a heap shaking, nearly blacked out out of breath, seeing stars - which I never knew were out in daylight. :D

No Sir, I am a really "down-to-earth" kind of guy. Rock climbing is for the insane. Thanks. You could drop me ten miles out at sea and I will be far more comfortable than placing my trust and life into a carabiner and a bit of rope. :D
