I photographed this image early in the morning with my Canon 50D. I wanted to give this a slightly soft and high key look. I liked the story of a man and his best friend enjoying the sunrise and the ocean. ISO 1600, f/8.0, 1/1250 sec, EF100-400mm f/4.5L IS USM, 275mm (445mm), Evaluative Metering, Auto Exposure, Auto WB, No Flash. Comments Welcome.

I like the moment you have captured here Richard. And I think the orton is a nice touch. The only thing I might do is add a bit of canvas on the bottom if you have it.

Jackie, I have the canvas, but i thought it made it look dead center. Since the man was lying down it should be cropped more on the bottom, Just my thoughts.

    Hi Richard,

Boy, it looks like both your subjects were very cooperative. The dog's position is great, and I would have cropped it just the way you did at first, though I like it both ways. I like the mood you tried to impart as well. Very nice.

Richard, I like the repost better than your original. Some rules are just meant to be broken. I like the soft, high key look.
