Very nice photo; like the pose, perch, great BG, open beak. Can you add the shooting data please? Congrats.

Love the perch and to see one of these guys on it is awesome. Exposure and sharpness are spot on. Head angle could be better and I might add a little room up top. Congrats.

Great open-bill pose. Perfect exposure and sharpness. Don't see a lot of waders perched on flowers here on BPN. I'd like a bit more canvas up top and on the right.

I like the sharpness, unusual perch, calling pose and eye contact. I might lighten the eye and give it more room.

This is the best shot I've seen of this species. Great sharpness, color, light and details. The perch is awesome.

I seen and photographed this wonderful bird many time, never seen them on / in any thing but mud.
    Very well done.
I would open the frame a bit.

I've never seen these bird perched like that, great. Light was a bit harsh IMO bt exposure and detail are stunning. Nice comp, colors, pose, and open bill is a plus.
    Congratulations!

    Hi Jan

That is a great compostion and unusual setting for a wading bird. I hoping to get up to Varanger next year and hopefully find some of these birds. As said previously a bit more space above would be good apart from that all is looking excellent. Good work.

    cheers

Maybe a little to harsh light for my taste. The rest of the picture is great, especially the perch and open bill.
