David, I love the light on this, it's color, direction and intensity, but the details look a tad lost as if a nr filter has been applied on the entire frame.

love the light on the bird and the colours in the shot - but have to agree with Dave, some detail seems taken away after taking the shot.

Besides the NR issue, Artie would give you a hard time because of the dirty bill :D

Nice pose and beautiful light. Where was this taken?

Hi David, the soft lighting is nice, although I see a magenta hue in the whites. I like the feather dropped below it.

Agreed about lack of detail. May I suggest that if you do NR to mask the bird? I do like the pose, almost perfect HA and I am really chuffed to see that lonely white feather under him/her. That is a nice touch AFAIAC. Hey, the bill is how it is, it's feeding, and is not in a beauty parlor. :D
    Thanks for sharing David.

Great light and lovely image. The weed on the beak and feather in the water don't bother me - that's nature and I don't believe in altering things to make them more aesthetic (know I'll get some barbs here!!). Would like to see more details in the chest feathers, sure the experts can express how to better than I can!!!

    Thanks for sharing!

I wouls suggest a less square crop. Nice light and exposure although NR has taken a lot of detail away.
    Congratulations.

I echoe the above comments about noise and lacks of details. The small light green area right in the middle of the frame and the shadow crossing the frame from left to right are a bit distracting and I love the tiny detail of the fallen white feather on the water
