Most likely a Yellow-crowned Night-Heron, but I've been wrong on ID of these guys before.
I could have cloned out the green leaves on the upper right. Could go either way.
    comments and critique welcomed. regards~Bill

Bill, I 'm going with Juvenile YCNH also. I like the composition. The soft pale colored BG is a lovely accent. I like the foliage in the URC but the small piece by the tail I would evict. I might give another round of sharpening to the breast and the perch. Another beauty!!

Hi, I like the blurred green in the background, too. Adds depth. Overall, the bird and branch seemed a bit bright (may be my monitor) so I deepened the black just a bit.

This looks fab mate. :) love the effect and I agree with D's suggestion of removing the little leaf behind the butt. :) Thanks for sharing Bill.

Another nice one Bill, I like the light coming off of the wing. Great details and BG. I am wondering if it would look better with a little more room on top for the head?
