Nice detail and color looks spot on. Brings back memories of the first time I witnessed this. I was surprised by how much noise they make while they're posturing as well.

Now that is sneaky, an interesting moment well captured.
The colours of the background are a bit strange but I seem to remember this happening before.

OUCH!!!! A shot in a million Fabs. Great timing. I like the opposite stances, and both with good detail. The snow in the BG adds to the image too. Well captured.

I am wondering if it is accidental or intentional. Do these sheep have the brains to disqualify opposition? :D

    Nice moment captured.

Thaat is VERY intentional and I saw it happening often while I was there. I guess they don't have referees :D

Thanks everyone for the comments! Colors are winter overcast in the mountains.

Ouch...it took a few seconds to realise what I was seeing. As the animals are the image rather than the background I wonder whether breaking the rule of thirds, a slight crop and centering them might add to the image as a sense of place is less important than the action taking place. Love the muted tones.

Fabs great timing on some textbook kicking behavior between two similar aged young males. Kicking is generally directed toward the chest or gentials, and its a sign of dominance and challege of one sheep over another. Rocky Mtn Big Horns kick less often than the other species. Dall Sheep kick much more often, and females and males will all kick each other.
