I took this at a low water bridge out of the car and unfortunately could not get a lower angle

I like the pose, sharpness and head angle. The perch and angle are not ideal but there is not much you could have done about it.

I merged your posts so that the forum software could create a thumbnail.

Thanks for that Axel. I was in a rush when uploaded also so that I selected the wrong image, the one I wanted to upload caught a fish and the light were better. However always a next time to load it.:)

Ditto Axel. I like how the water is rippling behind the feet and then falling off the edge in front. Can't wait to see the one with the fish :-)

    Chris:

Although not a 'traditional" perch, I find the ripples and play of light pick up the markings in the bird and pulls the image together for me.

Agree about the shooting angle, but I think some of the effect I like so much would have been lost with a lower angle.

    I like it.

PS: Daniel and I were typing at the same time, sorry for the repeated comments.

I agree with Axel here about perch also light angle was not ideal, still, you've got some nice detail.
    Congratulations.

I like the concentrated pose Chris, sharp, and considering from the car, the angle doesnt look that bad.

Great critique above, I add that the EXP looks good and the diagonals formed by the head and the perch work very well.

Although not a natural perch, the diagonal works very well, good detail and pose captured here Chris.
