We have a meeting in Orlando early Nov. We have never been to Florida. We will most likely rent a car and go after some wildlife. Any suggestions on photo opportunities would be greatly appreciated. If you are ever in Wisconsin I'll try and return the favor. Thank you.
You have several locations in or near Orlando that would give you some great images.. One you don't want to miss is Gatorland. You should get some great images of Alligators and various waterbirds that nest at Gatorland. You will be on walkways that go throughout the park and you can get some great images with a 75-300 or 100-400 lens. You will probably want a monopod as sometimes the walkways get crowed and a tripod will be a handicap..
The rookery at Gatorland does not really get going till February or so, but the other parts of Gatorland are ok. Viera Wetlands on the East coast near titusville would be good and possibly Ft Desoto on the west coast, near St Petersburg.
