I posted a similar image a little earlier in the week--this is another frame of the sequence--I had to add canvas at the top and extend the wingtip just a bit.

I like the pose, composition and that one can recognize the different lines of trees in the BG. Well done on the cosmetic surgery. I might have sharpened less under the wings since it looks as if S/H brought out some noise.
Another excellent image. I agree with Axel. Love that BG!
Awesome pose Bonnie! I selected the highlights, Feathered and pasted the selection to a new layer using CTRL + J. I then changed the blend mode on this new layer to Mulitply.

Awesome, Jody! Thank you. How did you know how to do that??? :>)
I think I have been able to duplicate it fairly well.
but a couple of few questions for clarity--
1. when selecting, I use the magic wand and set it to select highlights?
2. when feathering--how many pixels to select?
I surely do appreciate it. Thank you, again!
Yes you can use the Magic Wand or Select Color or a Quick Mask, etc....for selecting. Feathering should depend on the picture size. On this one at 800px or whatever it was, I think I chose around 10-15 pixels....glad to help out! I will be starting webcasts teaching Photoshop coming soon. :)
