    Photographed this beaver in pond near my house, every evening the adults come out and make the rounds making sure every thing is in order. Nikon D-70s & sigma 500 F-4.5 iso 400 1/125 f-5.6

    Raymond,

    I like the composition and him looking at you. I would crop more from the right side to balance the image out better. You have a heavy color cast (green and/or yellow) that needs correction. I would also work to punch up the mid-tones to make the beaver "pop".

    I like the sharpness on the head and receding DOF towards the back. THis is one of my favorite types of images on alligators except I can't get the eyes and nose both in focus in one image.
