Nice tight crop Mark but a bit soft as presented. Looks like some spotting is needed too as there appears to be some dirt on the sensor.

Here is a repost. Hope it is better. Sorry about that.

Crop is full frame. Up close and personal. ;) Focus was on the eye area.

it's an interesting comp. a little lower angle would have worked magic - it still seems soft, and I think it's because your focus point was a tad in front of the ram.

I agree it's a tad soft but I really like the pattern in the horns and the BG.

Thats a mean pair of horns. I feel this is a bit soft Mark, and would maybe add a bit to top and bottom.

    Hi Mark,

Great pair of horns there; wonderful texture! Sure you realise that direct eye contact with the beast would have put this image into the next category - but subjects don't always oblige, eh!. What is the 35-350 L lens you are using?

    Best regards,

    Gerald

    Mark,
I like the image. I think the depth of field is not sufficient to get the horns covered. May be a narrower apperture would have helped.

    Cheers,

    Thanks Gerald,

Yes, eye contact is nice, but full portrait is as well in my view. May not be shared, but I like this pose just as much as the turned head sometimes. Depends on subject and image ratio. If I can fill the frame, I am very satisfied with this pose.

The 35-350 L is Canon L series (professional) lens. I bought it for my EOS-1 film camera and use it now with the 5D. It's a good lense for all around shooting. Not the greatest bird lens, but I have used it for that. Great for scenics however, where you want to crop in the camera. Not as fast as my 80-200 2.8L, but that doesn't have the zoom range.

Thanks for the comments. I didn't see the bunnies the first time. But will review posts for others as I submit.
