    This was taken in the Masai Mara and had visited him and his lady the night before, but come back in better light. (Early am). Cropped tight by choice. D300 & 500 AF-S II. Bean Bag. 1/1000 f5.6, ISO 250. -0.67 ev.

    Hey Dave,
    That's either one heckuva comb-over or there's a breeze blowing that gives this one a real nice feel. Really like the comp and the half-squint stare. Nice work.

    Great portrait and nice job with the side lighting, Dave. The crop works fine for me, especially since there's plenty of room on the left. I also like that you left in the scars and the flies.

    Hi David, this guy sure has been in a few battles. I like the relaxed stare, and good overall detail captured.

    Really like the pose of the lion and the wind blown look of the mane. Nice details in the face as well.
