    Wow you got tight on this one. Probably good that you did considering the lighting. The bright water would have been a problem. The rubbing the eyes is cute but I think seeing an eye would even be stronger.. Very good effort..

    I like the expression and the action though seeing the eye would be a plus as well. As Robert mentioned tight worked good here with the bright background and I think you found a nice balance between the animal and the BG. The dark patch in the upper right is distracting and perhaps could be removed.

    Great sharpness and detail. I think I would like the open eye as well, nice gesture you caught. A little high in contrast.

    Re: the closed eyes. It wasn't a case of catching the otter in a blink. I believe he was sleeping as he floated in the marina.:o
