I like the limited depth of field and the feel of this is nice, it looks too flat on my monitor (at work) and the "in focus" bits don't seem quite in focus.

mirenchu, i think the compostion is perfect and the focal point isnt bad either. agree with carole. think it looks a bit flat. i'm sure there are a few more adjustments that would make this one pop. just not sure what they are.

    Hi Lady Mirenchu,
I will comment later on this evening when I get home, because my computer at work does not display the full image, only the thumnail version...:cool:

    Hi Mirenchu

I like the idea but I'm not getting the feel for this one Like the mood, bg and subdued appearance.
The trouble that I have is with the in focus elements, the one at the upper right seems to be the one in focus. Might have worked better with the center? Not sure !!!

    Hi Lady Mirenchu,
I like your composition and capture...the image is a little on the soft side, and under exposed. The focus point is not in the central point or the center of the mass...instead of using a wide open aperture off f/5.6, you should have stopped down to an f/11 or perhaps an f/16...you were probably using the kit lens ( 18-135mm; f/3.5-f/5.6 )that came with your D90. Don't be afraid to increase your shutter speed and your ISO your D90 can handle the higher ISO settings, try ISO 640 as compromising point instead of ISO 800...the color rendition is good...:) I took the liberty of making a few minor adjustments to your beautiful lady...I opened up the mid-tones, adjusted the blacks, boosted your saturation and contrast levels just a wee bit, and selective sharpened portions of the individual flower...see if this presents best to you...

This is a beautiful composition of a beautiful lady...looking forward to your next one...:)
