    One meter or 1000mm focal length. This one is from Sandy Hook, from the bay side. canon 1D mark III, 500 f4, 2X II teleconverter, gitzo with full wimberley, settings are iso 400, f8, 1/1250, +1 e.c.

    The shadow gives a nice 3D feeling. Light was a bit harsh IMO but you manged to get a very good exposure, probably fill flash would've helped. Nice comp and I would suggest to crop a bit from the top. Congratulations.

    Good capture and details considering the use of a 2x TC. I think you handled the harsh light well, I only wish for a better wing position, either further up or down.

    A decent result for a 1000mm FL at least, at this web size looks great. The light is a bit harsh to my taste and with such a FL I doudt that fill flash can do its job in thi scase. You managed well the situation and to get a flight of a bird with such a focal lenght is really difficult.

    The light angle was tough, but you did quite well with the exposure. I agree with Juan; fill flash at that focal length probably wouldn't have helped. I'd like to see better wing position. Nice detail for a 2x shot.
