Looking back I am just amazed at all the wonderful and talented people I have met here on BPN. It's been quite the journey!
Taken this morning at Nickerson Beach as the sun was breaking the horizon. Mom was giving crabbing/clamming lessons. The chicks have gotten soooo big. Down low, almost full frame....atlantic as BG.
Canon 1D Mark lll with the Sigma 300-800mm at 800mm at f9 for 1/250 sec. at ISO 1250. Noise Ninja run on BG.

Congratulations on the milestone and great image to celebrate! I like the soft light, interaction and composition. The mother's pupil looks quite big from this perspective. There seems to be a S/H halo around the dark parts of the plumage.

Congrats Roman, with your milestone and this lovely interaction. The soft light is pleasing and the unusual baby powder blue bg really makes it different.

Congratulations on your 4000th post Roman, I appreciate the low angle and the interaction.
I wish there was a bit more contrast in the surfy BG and as others have noted, the halo along the juvenile's upper shoulder area could be dealt with, otherwise, nice natural shot.

What a moment captured! Many thanks for your 4000 posts too. :) Overall the water seems a little gray...maybe that is realistic, but it tends to darken the image despite well-exposed birds. Nice work to catch this interaction. See you around Roman!

Mate, while numbers do - I guess - reflect a commitment - more importantly for me is the education I have received from you while you have been attaining those heights. Thank you very much!

Now, regarding the image, wonderful capture of their feeding together. When you say "down low", I am not surprised since you are using a 13lb lens! That must be a handful along with your 1D3?!

Congrats on your milestone Roman. This is a real nice catch of young and old together. I especially like the head angles on both and the BG is smooth blue.

Nice image. I find it a bit dark on my screen but knowing the sun crossed the horizon makes it understandable.

Congrats on your milestone Roman. I like the warm light and softer colours in this, and especially like the foam aroung their legs. Exposure looks great too. Well captured.

The Juvenile body looks a bit noisy,a strong and concentrated halo is noticeable on the two of them.
