Default A nice program for removing hot pixels from RAW files

I found this small application for removing hot pixels from NEF and CR2 files, it works with all current Nikon/Canon DSLRs .You need to load a reference shot first and then you can batch process your NEF/CR2 files to remove all the hot pixels. It even supports multi-core CPUs for faster processing, very useful app and it's free. :)

What... you guys don't have pixel mapping in those big, expensive cameras? ;)

Haha no we don't, actually my Nikon D700 has gone to Nikon for mapping once and now it has a new hot pixel. It's a big shame. In fact the two D700 bodies I got both have hot pixels!!!!

My MKII had a hot pixel too but there is a trick for Canon cameras, every time you do manual sensor cleaning (flip mirror up for cleaning), after you turn the camera off to retract the mirror it quietly maps the hot pixels as well:D! This took care of my 5DII hot pix but there is no solution for Nikon :( Kodus to Oly for providing this feature and wake up call for C and N!
