    from loxahatchee yesterday morning. another wing pose given to me by ms snail kite.

    D300, Bigma at 500mm, f/6.3, 1/1250s, +0.7EV, ISO 640

    I like the wing position, details and eye contact and might increase contrast a bit. I might crop a bit tighter.

    Hi Harold. I like the image but I think maybe the midtone contrast needs to be darker, as the image comes across a little flat on my monitor. There also appears to be blue CA and sharpening halos. IMO, the raptor would look better higher in the frame.

    How about this? More contrast was added, the blue was removed from the flight feathers and a tighter crop made.

    Excellent sharpness and wing position although the bill gets a little lost in the far wing. Definitely needs a contrast boost and some chromatic aberration help. I also like the idea of a tighter crop.

    thanks amy m. repost looks good. how did you remove the blue from the feathers. it's actually in the original non processed version as well.

    I selected the sky, inversed the selection, then desaturated the blue. ;)

    I like Amy's repost too :)

    You may try to get this out while converting, one of the tabs in ACR is for chromatic aberration :)
